Pay medical bills & monthly bills

Hi this is Steve,

I’ve been battling Stage 4 Terminal Cancer for the last few years, and it’s been a very tough as not only I’ve been dealing with the medical part, but a huge financial problems as well, From the start of being diagnosed with this Cancer, I lost a lot of weight and with my savings I had to use lots of that to buy new clothes as I went from a size 36 jeans to a size 28 jeans in less then, 6 months, due to the Chemotherapy I was being given at the oncologist office, I gradually gained some weight back as time went on and now I’m in a size 32 jeans, but the cost of buying basically new clothes was a huge financial loss to me, as unfortunately I didn’t have the thoughts vack then to go to a thrift store to buy used clothes, my mind was not set in a way to save money as I was so sick and not being able to go places to shop as how the chemotherapy works on a person is like the following, I’d be scheduled to do the chemotherapy every Thursday and I’d arrive in the clinic at 8:00 am and I’d sit in this chair while the nursing staff injected me with the chemotherapy the entire day and I’d leave the clinic around 5:30pm and I’d be scheduled to come back in 3 weeks, But how the chemotherapy works is that the first 2 days a patient feels fine and then after the second day the patient feels really sick and for myself the next 2-1/2 weeks is in bed resting/sleeping and just no strength to do anything at all. Then by the time you do start to feel somewhat better, the next chemotherapy treatment is ready for you to go and take at the clinic…. So during the time at home, I didn’t do much and didn’t really have the strength to go to get anything at the store so I would order it online…I didn’t have any support from my immediate family members other then my mother that was there to help me as much as she could, although she was going through issues of her own as she had health problems as well…..I’m totally greatful that I had wonderful friends that came over to help me with stuff around my house and they often at times brought me meals to heat up in the microwave to eat as they would cook stuff at their homes and bring it to my house so I could store it in the freezer until I wanted to eat it, as back then I had financial problems as well…..

The chemotherapy took a lot out of me and still to this day, even though the chemotherapy treatments are over with, I still struggle a lot, both with the medical part and now the financial part has been more difficult lately then ever before, as I have not been able to work since I was diagnosed 2-1/2 years ago, I do however get assistance from disability, but it’s simply not enough and I truly try very hard to make all ends meet, but it’s been too difficult to do just that….

As for the medical part that’s been hard for me lately as the chemotherapy is designed to kill all the bad cells in your body, it also kills all the gold cells too, so you are susceptible to get other medical complications from the Cancer while you are trying to recover, as this year has been terrible for myself as I was diagnosed with some new medical issues and gave now been battling these new issues still while trying to recover from the Cancer, I say recover as I was almost in remission from the Cancer and then my oncologist ordered a pet scan to see where the cancer is and if it had spread to orher areas within my body, I had good news and bad news with the outcome of the results from the pet scan, the good news was that most of the tumors were gone, however there were some new cancer that had spread to other areas and it started growing within these 2 areas and then stopped growing as well, so the oncologist wants to do more chemotherapy as my team of oncologists tell me, however they don’t want to do anymore until I gain more weight as well…….

Although I have other issues, more medical stuff that’s been effecting me since the first discovery of the Cancer, as now for the last 4-5 months I’ve been dealing with Kidney failure on my right side and then there are other difficulties with my left side as well… I will be having surgery on my right kidney this next Thursday afternoon and then the following week I will go back into the hospital for surgery on my left kidney…..

And then I also have more concerns about the new Cancer they discovered during the pet scan, in which I pray and talk to God daily about healing me from this horrible Cancer that I deal with on a daily basis,

id also like to say that even though I was diagnosed with stage 4 Terminal Cancer and that most of the Cancer is not there and with the new cancer that the pet scan found in my body, well I was asking the team of Oncologists the other day why they lost it in my chart as Terminal Cancer, well they said at the time of the cancer discovery inside your body, we were unsure of what cancer you have, unfortunately the Cancer you had when you were first diagnosed was a very aggressive cancer, And now even though the discovery of this new cancer is not aggressive right now and the other cancer is not detected right now, it could start growing again at any time, I asked my team of Oncologists this question as I’ve had some people ask me why I’m still alive as they have all bad friends that were also given the label “stage 4 Terminal Cancer “ and they have all passed away already and you were given the same diagnosis and your still living, Well the answer to the ones that gave asked me why I’m still alive is they the chemotherapy thet was chosen by the team of Oncologists worked well inside my body as in others they used the same treatment and their bodies didn’t adapt to the treatment like mine did….But they also say by no means are you free of all the Cancer……

im trying to raise funds to help me out with utility bills thst still come in every single month and im also trying to raise funds to buy gas to get back and forth to and from my doctors offices as i now have to drive to the woodlands a few times a week to see a new group of doctors as the ones I was seeing out here in the kingwood / Humble area no longer take my insurance and the closets ones are in the woodlands….. So the funds that im trying to raise would be used for utilities, gas to and from doctors offices, and for food expenses as well, As the last thing I’d like to say is that, yes I have been in food stamps for the last few years, although the government stepped in and decreased the amount of food stamps given to every person and families they are receiving food stamps, it was a supplement from Covid as the health and human services says, that they discontinued a few months back as I was getting $265.00 a month snd now for food they are giving me $23.00 a month and it’s not really possible to live off of $23.09 a month for food… Also yes as o mentioned above I do get disability funds too, but out if that I have to pay, utilities, personal hygiene products, medicines, and now food stuff too, it’s just not possible to pay all this when I don’t even bring in as they call it my income from disability is not even close to 1 k a month.

This Cancer has turned my entire life upside down and then some, I do live in a house that I’ve owned for the last 27 years and even though I love living here, I’m going to have to sell it and I know I’ve told others about me having to sell it and it should have been already listed and lug up for sale too,

However there are still a few things that are important for me to get fixed before I can sell it and everytime I think I’m going to have it listed , I’ve been gotten sick and had to be taken to the hospital wheee I end up staying for the next 2-3 weeks and then I have to come home and try to recover from that hospital stay which usually is another week or so putting me behind each and every time…. These things to be fixed are small things but it’s important for me to get these things fixed because this house is the last thing I own and I want to try and get the most that I possibly can get for it…. I have been home from the last Hospital stay now for the last few weeks and I hope that I can feel good enough to fix these small things and get this house on the market within the next 2 weeks, I pray that God will help me get this stuff fixed and that he will help me not only with this but also send help my way with the above and hopefully help with his touch and his healing hands to help me recover from this serious illness as well, I hope and pray that others can help me out as well, I also know a lot have stepped up to the plate to help me within the last few years and I’m so grateful for all your help too, as I appreciate every single person who has helped me out too, God Bless all of you and thank you so much for reading and if you do or are able to help then thank you for doing so too….

it’s not easy writing something like this as I’m not a writer snd usually I don’t know what exactly what to say as well, I just try my best to make it clear as to what I need thet can really help me out, even prayers will help as well , I will take a thing you are willing to give ,
