Paying for Gus's medical bills

Hi, my name is Grey and I am fundraising to pay for my cats medical bills.

We took him to the vet this morning and he has pus surrounding his lungs and is not doing well. They have put him in an oxygen chamber to help him and will likely have to insert a chest tube. He is checked into an animal hospital where they are planning on keeping him 2-4 days. They have said that his chances are at about 60% for the first day and 80% after.

The total cost of just what is above is estimated at $3,000 - $5,200. I have taken out a credit card that they recommended to pay for it and I am happy to do that. The problem is that he may need surgery and they said that could bring the total over 10,000 and I don't think I can get approved for a limit like that.

Gus has been my constant companion for the last 7 years. I love him so much and I want to be able to do whatever I can for him but if he needs surgery it will be more than I believe I can get a loan for and I don't want to have to put him down when he has so much life left ahead of him.
