Paying it Forward for Owen
Donation protected

First, we would like to thank EVERYONE for the VAST amount of support that the Turner, Leeds, and Greene communities have poured out for Owen since this campaign first began. Beyond financial contributions, the heartwarming stories shared by MANY have been an essential part of a generous and effective rally behind this obviously beloved man.
Another beautiful thing that’s happened is that SEVERAL community volunteers and businesses have come forward with their time, services, and materials to cover the repairs that Owen needed in order to make a happy and healthy recovery. We would especially like to thank the following local businesses and encourage your support of them:
Goodwin's Well and Water
Nickerson's Septic Services
Mike Melanson Plumbing
Ron's Electrical Services
GM Morin Construction
In fact, ALL repairs and services for which this campaign’s money was originally raised have been provided by the businesses above. This has made it so that the money we’ve raised so far can be used for a new purpose: helping Owen have a new and updated mobile home.
Thanks to an incredible program through the Maine State Housing Authority, Owen is eligible for a grant that covers half of the cost of the new mobile home. In order to cover the other half of the needed funds, we’ve updated the campaign to reflect our new fundraising goal of $30,000, which would mean that Owen can have a loan-free retirement that allows him to focus on his improved health.
We’ve already come SO FAR with this campaign...we’re hoping the community can follow us a little further to this new and important goal.
