Paying Tribute to Brandy Westover-Kargel

Hi, my name is Jessie, and I was blessed over 20 years ago to meet the most unique, loving, honest, sassy human and call her my best friend and sister.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Brandy Jo passed unexpectedly at 44 and left behind a wonderful loving husband and five beautiful babies, or peanuts as she liked to call them, from ages 8 - 20. Her family is the most outstanding achievement of her life, and I promised her years ago that I would help take care of them if anything were to happen to her. Together, I'm hoping we will be able to help them.

To know Brandy is to understand the fiercest love, loyalty, compassion, friendship, devotion, honesty, empathy and sass anyone could share. Brandy was the rock, the foundation that kept the chaos of five kids and a husband coordinated and functioning. Brandy was a beautifully bright light in such a dark world. The relationships she built with her children and the values she instilled in them will carry them forward into strong, independent, compassionate and kind individuals. She will continue to shine through them. Yet, I cannot begin to explain the devastation and heartache her unexpected passing has brought.

This is the most devastating blow this unkind year has delivered to them. Brandy's husband, Jerry, has been out of work for over two months due to multiple heart attacks and has lost over $8000 in wages. He is potentially out of work for another 4-6 weeks due to heart rehabilitation required before returning. Two of their children have severe and life-threatening health issues and have had multiple visits to the ER and an ICU stay for one because of emergency diabetic sugar levels. Please help this family give Brandy a proper burial and make it through the year and holidays by considering a small donation.
