Paying Tribute to Lori Skelton Simms

For the last seven months I had the privilege of knowing my fiancé’s mom, Lori, before the Lord decided it was time to call her home. During that seven months I learned who Lori really was; the amount of love and compassion that filled her heart could only be compared to a few who walk alongside us. Morgan, Miranda and Garret, her children, were her world. She was Constantly checking on them and putting their needs before her own even in her struggles near the end. Day by day she would let them know how much she loved them. The love she had for her family and friends was also extremely evident, she would make it a priority to spend time with them and constantly send out friendly texts so see how people were doing. She was selfless in her journey, this was clear to many. Additionally, Lori would always find the good in a bad situation and held her faith with God to one of her highest priorities. I envy those of you who had a lifetime of memories to share with this amazing woman. I only wish I, we, all had more time with her.
I am setting up this memorial fund to help try and relieve Lori’s family of the financial burden that has been associated with her passing, no one wants to lose someone so close, let alone take on the financial burden. I want to honor Lori and and the amazing support system she had. Many have shown an outpouring of support, and on behalf of her family; I thank each and every one of you. If you choose to donate, feel free to share a story of one of your greatest memories with Lori during her journey through life. The family would love to hear. Thank you and God Bless
