Paying Tribute to Marcel

Marcel and Lorrany Burns were high school sweethearts, married, with two baby boys when tragedy struck on August 31st, 2020.

 

Marcel was hit head on by a drunk driver while on his way to the gym. He miraculously survived the initial accident. However, he was hospitalized and in rehab for almost a year.

 

Four months ago, he was able to come home. But his injuries were so severe that he was a vent dependent quadriplegic. Unable to move, he required around the clock care. He fought long and hard for his wife, Lorrany, and their two young sons. However, on Friday, December 3rd, Marcel passed peacefully as he slept.

 

This was unexpected, and the family is completely heartbroken. It has been a long, traumatizing 15 months for the Burns family.

 

Lorrany has been by Marcel’s side through it all. I have never witnessed a more beautiful, unconditional love like the two of them shared.

 

This has taken a heavy emotional toll on Lorrany. On top of dealing with this immense loss, she now faces financial difficulties.

 

There are mounting hospital bills, living expenses, and funds needed for his memorial.

 

Lorrany will also require ongoing support for her and the boys, as she navigates the grieving process.

 

So, I am reaching out to our community for help. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. All donations will go directly to Lorrany and her two sons, MJ (age 4) and Leo (age 1).
