Paying tribute to our nephew Dallas Nordenger

Help give our nephew USMC Corporal, Dallas Nordenger, a final resting place.

My name is Tami Nordenger, on February 28th, 2022, our nephew USMC Corporal Dallas Nordenger lost his battle with depression. This loss has gutted our family. His parents, brothers, nephews, and all his extended family are beyond devastated.

Dallas was always a friend to everyone he met; an outgoing, sports loving, family oriented, faithful Christian with a love for humanity. His strong sense of community and pride was instilled by his family of first responders which influenced his desire to do for others. When he wasn’t at work or school you could find him fishing or with family/friends. Rarely did you find him without a smile. He was genuinely a great kid who hid his pain from everyone. He was a Bonney Lake high school graduate who went on to be a Marine in the 0311 attached to CBIRF (chemical biological Incident Response Force). After his honorable discharge from the USMC he returned to his home state of Washington and was attending school while working for the health department in pierce county.

Those of us left behind are grieving the terrible loss of such an amazing young man. Our family is left reeling trying to grieve, and trying to give him a final resting place in these challenging times. No one ever expects to outlive their child especially such a young vibrant soul, so planning final arrangements for our nephew is the last thing his parents and family ever expected to be doing.

We are asking for help as we are trying to raise 25,000 to cover the funeral expenses, and travel expenses for family members and his brother, sister-in-law and two young nephews to their home in Texas. Any funds raised not used for these items will be donated to the veterans suicide prevention services so that another family doesn’t have to experience this kind of loss.
