Paying Tribute to Ronald Vogel

My uncle Ronald Vogel recently passed on November 20, 2021 at the age of 67 while at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis from complications after recovering from Covid-19. He was a wonderful husband, father and uncle who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his wife Lucia Marina Vogel, his two sons Daniel and Matthew, and five grandchildren.

I had the honor of growing up with and living in the same house as my uncle for some of my early life and witnessed his diligence as he singlehandedly turned his one story house into a two story house. He loved working with his hands and always had an active project around the house. He introduced me and my brother to his vast VHS collection of sci-fi and horror films, now a lifelong passion of mine. He taught us how to play Chess. If he wasn't making us laugh hysterically from his professional tickling, we were usually found on trips for ice cream or trips to the movie theater with Indian music blaring out of the windows. He was always willing to help and give rides to which my sister was always thankful. I will always remember how he joked about how much money me and my siblings owed him for all the fun we had. He was a very loving uncle.

 

My aunt Lucia Vogel is devastated by the loss of her husband of 36 years . We want to give Ron the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.

 

I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Ronald Vogel’s funeral and help alleviate the medical expenses that have accrued during Ronald's last five weeks in the hospital. We are hoping to raise $10,000 by December 2, 2021 to alleviate the financial burden this terrible loss has left on Lucia Vogel and her family.
