Paying tribute to Sarah Mann
Donation protected
Hello.
My name is Melanie Needham.
My dear friend Janyce Mann received the news no mother should receive, that her child was found deceased.
Details surrounding her death are mostly unknown at this time but it was an unexpected and devastating call that changed the course of their lives.
While her family and friends wait for answers, they are tasked with managing the loss of their daughter and planning the funeral/memorial.
I am asking for your help today, please. The financial burden of laying their daughter to rest has put significant pressure on their family. Janyce Mann is the type of person who would sit with you in the dark until the sun rose again.
To honour Sarah's kind and caring soul we would like to give her the memorial she deserves and say our last goodbyes.
Any donation you could spare would help Janyce with travelling to Sudbury to empty her residence, gas, and hotel and hold the ceremony and funeral-related costs.
Sarah was a writer, artist, journalist and academic. She grew up in Owen Sound, Ontario but spent the rest of her days in Sudbury, Ontario. She loved to share her art and writing with everyone. She held an MA in literary studies and was pursuing an education in Geography. She was a member of Maybe Too Loaded Arts Collective and blogged at: autocannibalism.wordpress.com. Her writing can be found in Canadian Theatre Review, Digital Studies, rabble.ca, The Hamilton Spectator and This magazine.
She is survived by her mother, Janyce Mann (Tony), her siblings Valerie and Hugh (Alexis), her nephews (as Sarah called them) Malcolm, Rhea, Justin, Carter, Gavin and Lugh and her family and friends in Sudbury.
Thank you for your consideration. The Mann family extends their love during this time.
