Paying tribute to Steve Buss

On Wednesday, December 15th, Steve Buss (58) passed away in a tragic car accident in Pound, WI. Many who knew Steve personally were shocked and filled with deep sadness to hear about his unexpected passing. He leaves behind his wife Shawn, daughter Jessica (21), and son Blake (13). He was a devoted husband, father, friend, and coach. Steve was an incredible individual who positively impacted the lives of everyone he touched. His biggest passion was spending time with his wife and kids, and also coaching on the Kaukauna track team and at the pole-vaulting club. Throughout the last 7 years, he has volunteered countless hours devoted to teaching and mentoring numerous athletes. There was something special about Steve in how he showed all athletes, regardless of skill, that they were just as important as anyone else. Steve never hesitated to offer his help, and always showed genuine compassion to everyone. Now, we are asking for your help in the same way that Steve always gave his.

 

Shawn is now faced with many unexpected expenses, with the biggest being the cost of the funeral. We are hoping people will be willing to donate to provide help to her and their children and to provide them with a cushion as they work out their next steps in this tragedy.
