Paying Tribute to Willie Mejia

At approximately 11:24 AM on Tuesday, March 3rd, Willie Mejia was riding his motorcycle on Palos Verdes Blvd in Torrance when another driver in a car began making a left turn across the lanes without seeing him, colliding with Willie and causing extremely significant injuries.  Our dear friend was transported to the Harbor-UCLA Hospital where he was treated and fought for his life, but ultimately the doctors determined that his injuries were too severe to overcome. He suffered from multiple broken bones and a severe head injury.  Willie was an incredible friend to all that knew him and would light up a room the moment he walked in.  He had a passion for all things mechanical and enjoyed working on any vehicle he could get his hands on.  The man we all know of as Willie Mejia will forever live on in each and every one of us.  Now it’s our turn to pay it forward by uplifting his memory and reminiscing about all the good times we shared together. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of the friends and family of Willie.
