Payton's Soccer Goal!

Let me introduce you to Payton Patrick:

ATTITUDE-COMMITMENT-EXECUTION

Whether it is in the classroom, on the track or the soccer field these three words (Attitude, Commitment and Execution) sum up how Payton goes about her day working hard to “be all she can be”!

Payton loves competition and has excelled on the soccer field since she was 4 years old.  She works diligently to hone her skills and 2016 was her best year yet.  At age 13 year old she was invited to attend the US Olympic Development Program Inter Regional tournament in Boca Raton, Florida.  Her Region I team was undefeated, she garnered top scoring honors and was named to the US ODP All Star team.  Her performance at Inter –Regional camp was instrumental in earning an invitation to the 2017 ODP National Training Camp held in Phoenix, Arizona. However, her greatest honor to date is being selected as one of four 13 year old athletes to join the US ODP U15 Region I team that will play in London, England against other international teams this April.  This program is another stepping stone to reach her dream of one day wearing the red, white and blue at the Olympic/World class level in soccer and/or running.

Payton also plays for the prestigious Maryland based Pipeline Soccer Club U15 team that is recognized as one of the top teams in the country.  The Pipeline U15 SC squad won multiple tournaments last year including the Maryland State Cup, Bethesda Premier Cup and the Disney Showcase Tournament in Orlando.

Whenever she lines up for a cross country or track race her mind is focused on winning races and breaking records. Along with her innate ability, Payton is inspired by her family legacy as her grandfather, a world class sub 4:00 miler, and the winner of the 1968 US Olympic Trials in the 1500 meters.

Payton truly embodies the term scholar-athlete while continuing to balance her studies with sports.  In addition to excelling on the field and track on a National level she also carries a 3.9 GPA at Hereford Middle School.

Any contribution you can make to help defray the costs for travel, specialty coaching, camps, equipment as well as ongoing fees/expenses is most appreciated. As a supporter, we look forward to sharing with you the ongoing highlights of Payton’s journey on the track and soccer field.
