Paytyn’s Trip to France

Hi! My name is Paytyn and I attend the Global Studies and World Languages Academy at Tallwood High School. Ever since I was little it has always been my dream to travel the world and explore new countries. When I first heard of the Global Studies and World Languages Academy it peaked my interest because part of the program includes the opportunity of traveling abroad. I then applied and got in. I then fell in love with learning about other countries and cultures. While also being a part of the Academy, you get to learn and acquire different languages. I am going into my 4th year of Spanish and my 2nd year of French. I was looking forward to traveling in the future with the academy. While my dreams were about to come true, COVID put a hold on them for some time. Traveling with the school was not an option and would continue for the next two years. Towards the end of my junior year, an announcement was made that applications would be open for next year delegation trips. I was so excited and quickly applied. After going through the long application process, I got selected for the France trip! My dream has come true to travel! This is my last year at high school and with the academy, so this will be my one and only chance to travel with my school and I am so excited! The trip is about two weeks long in October and includes housing, food, and various activities that we will partake in. The donations will go towards the cost of the trip. Thank you so much!
