PB & J Leadership Camp Food Fund

PB & J Leadership Camp is a non-profit high energy week-long program dedicated to teaching the youth of our community the skills needed to avoid negative lifestyle choices and instead become productive leaders in our society. Through what we call “Positive-peer pressure,” With a 33 year history, PB & J allows young people the opportunity to empower themselves to actually be part of the solution; camp promotes group building, the development of self-esteem, and instills in the student the responsibility of being a positive role model.
A large part of operation costs for the camp (second only to renting the campground itself) is providing food for 90 hungry teenagers plus staff for a week. With the Corona virus, Many businesses have either been shut down for months or gone out of business and that has directly affected our ability to raise funds for camp. This leaves us with a situation to find a funding source for the food.
We try to keep the price of attending as low as possible so parents can afford it. In turn, No one on staff is paid anything (everyone volunteers) - all of the money raised goes directly into the camp and its operations. This is why we rely so heavily on donations.
Camp begins on July 15, 2020, so funds must be secured by July 9, 2020, so we have the time to order and pay for the food. Without the food, we can't have a camp, so this crowd-funding opportunity is vital to ensuring the kids have a camp to attend this year - thank you so much in advance for any help you can provide!
