Hi, my name is Kasey.

Im creating this go fund me to help raise funds for a beautiful family going through an exceptionally rough time.

Early 2023, 16 year old Hunter was experiencing migraines. After 3 failed hospital trips to Maitland, he attended John Hunter Hospital where he was rushed into emergency surgery to remove a 6cm brain tumour. A few days later Hunter was diagnosed with a grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme Brain Cancer. GBM is extremely rare in children and very little is known about this type of cancer other then it is the most dangerous type of brain cancer due to its fast growing ability and only a 25% chance of survival over 2 years.

After further research it’s been discovered that Hunter has a family genetic mutation called Lynch Syndrome which is believed to have initiated the cancer as people with Lynch Syndrome have a higher chance of getting certain types of cancer.

Unfortunately, this means that most chemotherapy methods on the current market are believed to be ineffective and doctors have chosen to not proceed with current treatments other then radiotherapy and hopes that a trial medication will become available quickly.

Hunter enjoys most sports and supports his favourite teams including Manchester United and Newcastle Jets in soccer, Parramatta Eels in rugby league and Golden State in American Basketball. He enjoys hanging out with his mates both in person and beating them over the Xbox! His dream would be to get over to Manchester to see Man U live or to meet Marcus Rashford (Man U) or Steph Curry (Golden State). His favourite Aleague player is Jason Hoffman.

please help us in raising funds to support this family for day to day life. Due to Hunters diagnosis, his mum Cindy has had to stop working to support Hunter throughout his treatment and attend all medical appointments.
