Help Phantom Cats Finish Our Album
Donation protected
Hello,
Back in the spring my one true musical love, the one that got away, my band Phantom Cats decided to reunite to record an albums worth of unrecorded material on the heels of our singers decision to attend grad school in D.C. I went in to it believing that I could personally fund the costs not covered by the remainder of our band fund when the time came, however, the summer has not been kind to my wallet and I am in need of help getting our album out of mix/master purgatory. For purposes of transparency here are the remaining costs:
$250 owed to the good folks at Three Lyons Creative who recorded and mixed the album.
$250 to pay for a proper mastering of said tracks
And $100 to compensate a photographer for a proper album cover and to offset the percentage taken by gofundme from each donation.
If you are unfamiliar with us, you can check out our first album here on our bandcamp. If you like it and want it, feel free to make your donation there as it is available on a, wait for it, donation basis.
If you're interested in what our forthcoming album sounds like, you can check out this live video of our song "Wolf Ears".
Additionally here'sa great write up from dailydetroit.com concerning our fundraising efforts.
I cannot express in full what this album means to me. To me, this is the culmination of five years of creative growth and output. Five years of having the blessing of working with the most dedicated, talented and imaginative musicians around. Five years of dedication to the Detroit music community. Five years of my life and if this recording never saw the light of day, it would feel as if there was almost nothing to show for those five years. I think this music deserves to be heard and I will be unendingly grateful for every generous dollar given our way.
A million thanks.
