PCDC Hackneys Great 2022 Fundraiser

PC*DC is an older adult dance company and not-for-profit CIC hailing from Hackney, East London. We work with over 65’s to create fierce, fabulous work that challenges the stereotypes of what an ‘elderly’ adult dancer can do and look like.
During the pandemic we continued to connect with the dancers remotely, undertaking vital work to help alleviate the impact of a difficult year of isolation. In 2021 we took our work online with our Dancehall Flamingos project, transforming the troupe into a posse of glamorous OAP influencers who took over social media with their explosive tik tok dance challenges and inspirational viral vids. You can check out the project by exploring the hashtag #DancehallFlamingos, or visiting our profiles at: Instagram - @PCDChackney, Twitter - @PCDChackney, Facebook - PCDC HKNY.
We are now running a giving campaign to help support our work in 2022 and beyond. As the pandemic continues to restrict social activity and human interaction, projects such as ours are invaluable in ensuring older people continue to thrive and be celebrated.
“It’s given me everything: a purpose and a reason to live. PD*DC is a beacon of light and hope in the darkness of Covid and current world and weather events.” - PC*DC Dancer
“We had a fantastic time. It was so beautiful I couldn’t get over it. Entertaining everyone. Everyone dancing. Just magical.” - PC*DC Dancer
In 2023 PC*DC hopes to run 30 weeks of dance classes.
£1 pays for tea and scones for a dancer for one session.
£10 pays for a dancer to attend a session.
£50 pays for one delightful, bespoke costume to be made for a dancer.
£100 supports one dancer to attend a season of dance classes and rehearsals.
Please help keep us dancing! Donations of any size are hugely appreciated and will be received with much love and celebration.
Thanks so much for reading,
