PCEF Cambodian Children English Education

PCEF is a nonprofit school in Lvea Village, located about an hour outside of Siem Reap, Cambodia that provides English classes to local children. We believe that education is the key to a brighter future, and we are committed to making it accessible to as many children as possible.

The lead teacher of this school Srey Sambo (Pagna), together with his wife, keep this school alive.

In the beginning, the children were taught in Pagna’s father’s house while he tried to raise enough funds to build a small school. Thanks to many wonderful donors, he was able to do it! The new school was built in May of 2014 and today it has more than 450 students between the ages of 6 and 18 that come daily to learn English so they can have a better future.

But we need your help. Our school is currently overcrowded, and we are in desperate need of 3 more classrooms, computers and school supplies.

As of right now, the school cannot afford to build new classrooms. We have so many students we give free education too and we are becoming over crowded with some classes having to share 4 kids to one desk. Cambodia is technically a third-world country and is one of the poorest nations in the world. About a third of its citizens live on less than a dollar a day.

Current need: We are raising $7000 to build computer science classroom.

PCEF would like to purchase 20 laptops to build computer science classroom to increase the quality of computer education and give these children a chance at a brighter future with more job opportunities as well as the chance at a higher education.
