From the Swierczynski Family:

On May 30th our entire world changed.  We began living our "new normal".  When we learned Evie's diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia I quit working.  Duane and I made the decision right then she'd never be alone.  AML means long weeks in the hospital for chemotherapy and recovery.   We spent the summer driving back and forth for treatments when she wasn't in patient.  And then we learned she needed a bone marrow transplant.  Unfortunately,  this means all the financial responsibility for paying our bills has landed on Duane and it's hard for a creative person to be creative when living with this kind of stress.    Setting up a go fund me isn't something we do with ease, we hate asking for help, especially financial.  But, we've tried long enough on our own and we both realize, it's time to ask for help.  If all goes well, Evie should be in remission soon and hopefully then I'll be able to resume my work schedule and all the stress we've been feeling will become less and our "old" normal will return
