Help save Marmy

Donation protected

This little girl is the sweetest and has made such an impact on our lives in the short week we have had her. Adopted on 1 Mar 24, Marmy refused to eat for several days. We had a vet appointment on 4 Mar 24 to help set up pet insurance. As the days progressed, she still would not eat, despite being very comfortable and loving with us. After multiple vet appointments, we went to the Pet ER one week after adoption on Friday 8 Mar 24, where the team found a large rope-like foreign object obstructing her intestines, as well as a mass on her liver.

We proceeded with emergency surgery to remove both the obstruction and mass. The obstruction had perforated her intestines and created some internal damage. Both surgeries were successful, but has experienced a significantly longer recovery time to replenish nutrients and manage pain. The first procedure had small leakage, so a second emergency repair was needed to prevent severe sepsis. This time, with a drain-tube and more nourishment going into surgery for her body to heal.

The current ICU bill is right at $38,000, which we will post on this gofundme at discharge (which is hopefully soon). We didn’t have enough time with her for insurance to kick in, but will not give up on her.

Every dollar counts -please share Marmy's story!
