Help Us Repair Saskia’s Violin
Donation protected
On December 11, 2021 our dear friend and longtime collaborator Saskia Tomkins was taking her final bow at 4th Line Theatre in our Christmas show “Christmas Comes to Mind,” when she missed the last step, off the stage, and she fell. Luckily, Saskia was not injured, but unfortunately she fell onto her violin. The violin sustained three severe breaks. Unfortunately, Saskia did not have insurance at the time and the total amount to cover the repairs is financially prohibitive for 4th Line to cover completely. As well, 4th Line’s insurance is not set-up to cover this kind of accident. The other tragedy is that the violin, even once it is repaired, will be permanently devalued by 20% forever.
We are asking you to help Saskia out by contributing to the repairs on her violin. 4th Line Theatre will cover any difference between what is fundraised and the total amount needed for the repairs and the devaluation.
Saskia is a longtime friend of the theatre and has contributed immeasurably to the wonderful music for many productions you have seen and enjoyed. Any amount of support to cover the costs will be greatly appreciated. All the monies raised will go directly to Saskia to cover the repair bills.
