Left Bank, a vital cultural space in Tbilisi, Georgia, faces possible closure as we stand in solidarity with our country's fight for democracy and a European future. We acknowledge Georgia's broader crisis - from striking teachers to theater workers, many sectors need support. While asking for help isn't easy in these times, it's our only option for survival.

WHO WE ARE

Left Bank is more than a cultural space - we are a community in Tbilisi where local and international artists meet. Here, self-expression thrives, and Georgia's young voices gather to shape our country's future. Since opening, we have grown into a trusted platform for artistic freedom and democratic values, becoming a vital part of Georgia's counterculture.

Our weekly schedule featured multiple free events: live performances, movie screenings, club nights, cultural workshops, and community gatherings - making art and culture accessible to everyone.

THE CURRENT CRISIS

Georgia faces a severe democratic crisis marked by state-sponsored terror and mass detentions. Government-backed criminal groups brutally attack peaceful protesters and journalists while police conduct illegal raids and interrogations. Hundreds face arrest and violence, with activists and opposition leaders targeted in widespread raids. Cultural spaces, small businesses, teachers, and theater workers have joined a mass strike, sacrificing their livelihoods despite having no savings to fall back on.

Standing united with protesters, we've stopped our operations once again. This necessary decision risks our survival - our team lives paycheck to paycheck while expenses and rent keep mounting. Like others in Georgia's cultural sector, we're sacrificing our livelihood to oppose this injustice, even as each day brings us closer to financial collapse.

We're seeking the minimum amount necessary to:

• Ensure our space survives this critical period
