In Loving Memory of Micah Dixon

Donation protected
***UPDATE (2/7/25)***

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Micah’s passing. He had just begun his first trial treatment on Tuesday when he became unable to breathe and was rushed to the ER where he was intubated. The cancer ways just too aggressive for his lungs to handle (less than one month from his diagnosis). He passed away on Wednesday evening with his family by his side.

Needless to say, we are all heartbroken and our thoughts are with Haley and Genevieve, as well as Micah’s parents and siblings, as they come to terms with the tremendous loss. I ask that you please keep them in your prayers. We will all miss Micah terribly.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who donated to this fund. We are beyond grateful. The money will still be applied to medical bills, as he incurred many hospital visits and tests prior to Pittsburgh. Any remaining funds will help with funeral costs. Therefore, I am going to keep this fundraiser going for a bit longer to help Haley get through this difficult time.

Thank you again for your love and support.

Help Micah Access Life Saving Treatment (2/2/25)

As many of you already know, my brother-in-law Micah is facing the fight of his life. After developing a nagging cough that would not go away and after seeking medical attention, he was given the very frightening diagnosis of cancer. The news only got worse as test results confirmed that he had NUT Carcinoma, a very rare and very aggressive form of cancer which affects fewer than 200 people in the world per year. Needless to say, this has been devastating to Micah and Haley who have been married just over two years and just celebrated their daughter’s first birthday. No one expects or prepares for this to happen to an otherwise healthy 26-year-old.

There is currently no cure for this cancer; however, there are clinical trials being conducted at a handful of hospitals around the country. Micah was fortunate to have gotten into one of those trials that will start on Tuesday (2/4/25) in Pittsburgh. While some aspects of the trials are done at no charge, the cost to the patient will be approximately $20,000 per cycle and they estimate Micah to need at least eight cycles. This cost is not covered by Micah or Haley’s insurance; it will have to be paid completely out-of-pocket. To make matters worse, Micah has not been at his job long enough to qualify for FMLA and will be terminated within the next couple of weeks. Therefore, Haley will need to pick up family coverage from her job at an additional cost.

Micah and his family have a tough fight ahead of them, and at this time, the most helpful way to show your love and support is through a donation (every dollar helps). If you are not able to donate, all we ask is that you keep Micah and his family in your prayers.

Thank you all so very much!
