WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO BUILD A GLOBAL SCHOOLS NETWORK AND DELIVER THE EDUCATION YOUNG PEOPLE NEED TO REVERSE THE CURRENT GLOBAL CRISIS.

40% of our global population - 3 billion people - are under the age of 24; these children and young adults are growing up in a world with an increasingly fragile future. With just over 11 years before the target date of the UN’s ‘Global Goals' - 17 goals addressing the greatest challenges the world is facing - there is an urgent need for concerted action across the globe.

•     But how many young people even know about the Global Goals?
•     What action - if any – are they taking to address these challenges?
•     And ultimately - what impact is being achieved?

STRETCH GOALS

£300,000   •   Increase Accessibility Through Translation / 10,000 schools to sign-up over 24 months.

Fund translation of the programme's content and materials into the 5 additional languages of the United Nations over one full cycle (17 months) with the addition of a  full-time team member.  


£605,000   •   Increase Reach through International Outreach / 25,000 schools to sign-up over 36 months.

Help ramp up global outreach in years 2 and 3 with 3 x full-time staff. Plus national, direct mail campaigns to UK & US schools.

World Record Holder in Behaviour Change!

Peace One Day holds a Guinness World Record for behavioural change manifested on one day - Peace Day 21 September. Schools and young people are central to this achievement.

Not only are they the most important audience, they are the most responsive.

Project Creation that truly Engages schools!

Our fun and simple #PeaceDayGoogleDoodle activity - launched In August 2018 - already has 181 participating schools from 50 countries. Many of these schools have actively expressed interest and pre-registered for the Peace & Sustainability Programme.

Grassroots Education

As part of a focussed campaign in The Great Lakes Region of Africa, Peace One Day lead a partnership with UNICEF and various Ministries of Education to create and distribute a FREE

Peace Education Resource to over 70,000 schools across 6 countries.

Global Education Resources

Our Global Education Resources have been accessed by over 21,000 educators from 131 countries to date. These FREE, media-rich, interactive lesson plans are translated into
6 languages, continuing to inspire young peacemakers the world over.
