Children's Peaced Together launch

We need £5000 to launch Children's Peaced Together, a new arts-based course for children.

Children's Peaced Together helps kids aged 7-11 deal with difficult issues they face at school, at home and in other areas of life. On the course we use active games, role play, puppet sketches and craft projects to explore topics including thankfulness, courage, choices and self-control.

Each session helps the children develop friendships, explore real issues and dilemmas and have a lot of fun. Just like the adult course, the children learn new craft skills and complete five projects over ten weeks.

Peaced Together for adults has spread across the UK and beyond over the past seven years and more than 1150 people have now taken the course at one of our 30 locations.

After running Peaced Together for adults in a local primary school, we were asked to deliver the course for children. We spent some time making the material suitable for primary-aged children and have written a new course manual.

We are running a pilot which is having a very positive impact on the children taking part. Don't just take our word for it - here's what Martim, Zachary and Ruby have to say about Children's Peaced Together

We now need funds to allow us to offer Children's Peaced Together to other churches around the UK. The money will be used to:

- commission lovely illustrations to make the materials more accessible for children
- design and print materials
- train four new locations to deliver the course
- evaluate the success of our first children's courses.

Thanks so much for your support - we are very excited about the impact Children's Peaced Together will have on children's wellbeing around the country.
