Hello,
Over Canada Day weekend our dear Casey had been in a horrific boating accident on the Gatineau River. The accident has been classified as a hit-and-run. Casey and six other friends (six other friends made it out in time with no other injuries as far as we know) had been floating on a large Tube when they were struck by another watercraft. We are unaware of how this man struck Casey although police have stated he may have been trying to "maneuver" the watercraft to make some sort of waves in the water. After hitting Casey the driver fled the scene.
Casey is in critical care and was taken to a near by hospital in Ottawa with life-threatening injuries. While on her way to the hospital Casey was placed into a medically induced coma and will remain in this state for an unknown amount of time. From what we have heard from doctors, family and friends, Casey is suffering from her injuries which are being closely monitored by staff at the hospital.
With family and friends surrounding her bedside we ask you for support. Casey is an incredibly kind woman, teacher to her students, and friend to everyone she meets. Casey has a very outgoing personality, loves to travel, and is an extraordinary dog mom to her pup Marley.
We are unaware of how long she will be in the hospital for (mainly depending on her injuries). We are simply asking for any kind of donation (big or small) anything that you're willing to give Casey and her family. Any support is greatly appreciated and will be acknowledged.
We would also like to add that Scott Labrosse is the beneficiary for this campaign. If you may not know Scott is Casey's boyfriend and has been for many years now. Scott will be responsible for withdrawing said donations on Casey's behalf as he see's fit.
We'll provide a link, where you can read the statement police have given to the press and if you have any other information regarding Casey's accident please contact the appropriate authorities.
