Peach Basket Basketball is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing young girls,
from grades 2 through 8**, from across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with an innovative
and accessible basketball camp experience.
What is the Peach Basket Basketball Camp?
Peach Basket Basketball will be the first of its kind in the GTA by implementing a new
approach to basketball camp programming. The Peach Basket Basketball Camp will be
completely ran and taught by women, made exclusively to young girls, grades 2 through
8**, from across the GTA.

We want the Peach Basket Basketball Camp to be an inclusive and safe space. We hope to be
a catalyst in generating interest and participation in the sport of basketball by providing an
all-female experience to learning and development for young girls across the GTA.
What are we raising money for?
Our goal is to raise $20,000 in order to run the camp at ZERO cost to over 100 interested
girls hoping to participate over one week of daily programming this summer Aug 12-19.
Part of this initiative will be to provide transportation to and from camp for some
community groups that are located in Scarborough, Mississauga, and Brampton, to ensure
that the camp is accessible to as many diverse young girls as possible.
Why are we raising money?
We believe that through, with, and because of young women, the game of basketball will
continue to grow in the right direction.
We also believe that, “it takes a village to raise a child”. As the Peach Basket Basketball
initiative is community-focused, we want it to be community-driven. We need YOUR help to
provide a truly unique and valuable camp experience to young girls from “villages” just like
yours.
500 donations of only $40 will make this camp FREE for up to 100 girls from across the
GTA.
In an effort to be as transparent as possible, we have included our operating budget and plan
to update that document to reflect the allocation of the funding to a specific function/need of
the camp. This allows everyone to track our progress! If there is a specific component of the
camp that you would like to sponsor out-right, please indicate this in your notes so we can
allocate your donation accordingly (i.e., Food - $3,500, or, Website - $500). Any amount of
support would be greatly appreciated.
With your help, we look forward to the camp’s first event this summer (August 2019) and

others. It’s the camps belief that programs exclusively for young women provide a safe and
healthy environment for girls to grow as individuals and build self-confidence with the shared
experience of other women and most importantly opens the door for dialogue about issues
and experiences on and off the court only relatable to women.
