Pearl of Africa Youth Brass Band
Donation protected
The Pearl of Africa Youth Brass Band is a registered non-profit in Kampala, Uganda. Currently we are receiving donations to build on a property acquired in 2019, to include residential, office, workshop, classroom, garden, and sports areas.
Beginning March, 2019, your funds are providing an apprenticeship for the Pearl of Africa Youth Brass Band manager, Allan Kawalya. When he completes his training, he will use your donations to build on an already acquired property. The Pearl of Africa Youth Brass Band will also serve all the other bands, providing training in instrument care and playing beginning in 2022. Allan will also provide piano servicing, and the training of musical instrument technicians. It won't be long before he and others are self sustaining in their independent businesses, and become the patrons for their own country.
During his apprenticeship, Allan stays in touch with former band members, and raises funds for minimal basics such as sanitary pads, soap, and food.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Please check our website and our FaceBook page for current activities. Thanks for giving.
Dr. Roy Howard of AMLuthiers will receive your donation in Kansas, then send funds to either Spain (for shipping donated instruments) or to Kampala for direct deposit with the band manager, Allan Kawalya . More stories. AMLuthiers is a 501(c)(3) Private Operating Foundation. Donors can deduct contributions.
