Pecan Park RV Flood Relief
Donation protected
Pecan Park Riverside RV Park & Cabins in San Marcos, TX was hit by a flash flood on Memorial Day weekend 2015. Thanks to advance warnings from Caldwell County and early evacuation, every resident and visitor escaped and there was no loss of human life.
Everything left was destroyed.
Pecan Park lost their RV sites and site infrastructure, cabins, Wi-fi towers, swimming pool, playground, outdoor movie screen, cowboy cookout area...everything.
Some of you know that the RV park owners, the Rowleys, live at Pecan Park with their two young boys. Their home was destroyed in the flood.
Though the home was insured, flood insurance is not available for RV parks. Because of that, they're faced with an impossible choice: do they try to rebuild their business with the insurance money so they can regain their family's income stream, or do they rebuild their home? Homelessness vs. unemployment.
They shouldn't have to decide between the two. Let's help Pecan Park Riverside RV and the Rowley family rebuild. Their RV park has brought joy to so many and we want to see that joy multiply in the future!
