Pedal the Perimeter of Ireland for the ILFA
Donation protected
The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association (ILFA) is the National patient organisation for lung fibrosis. ILFA supports patients and families living with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and provides education and support to respiratory healthcare professionals. The word 'Idiopathic' means unknown thus the cause of IPF has not been identified .Approximately 400 patients in Ireland are diagnosed with IPF each and every year .
IPF is a progressive lung condition where fibrosis or scarring causes the alveoli (air sac) in the lung to thicken and harden. The fibrosis or scarring interferes with the normal transfer of oxygen from the alveoli to the blood stream and results in low levels of oxygen in the blood and shortness of breath .
Please support us, The Dublin Development Squad 2021 in our purposeful 'Pedal the Perimeter of Ireland' as we strive to raise monies for this deserving, laudable cause namely The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association (ILFA).
