This summer my friend Michelle and I are biking across the U.S.! In addition to experiencing all of the beauty our country has to offer, we will be fundraising $2,500 for Pathways Togo, a non-profit working for women’s education and empowerment in Togo, West Africa. 100% of the funds raised will go toward intelligent and motivated Togolese girls. The money will be applied to scholarships, mentoring opportunities, leadership skills training, and small-scale community grants.

Why Pathways Togo?

I recently returned from a two-year Peace Corps service in Togo, West Africa. As one of the poorest nations in the world, Togo offers few educational opportunities for women and children. Less than 30% of Togolese girls are enrolled in high school. One of the initiatives working hard to change this is Pathways Togo.

Led by Peace Corps Volunteers and inspiring Togolese partners, Pathways is an organization with one goal in mind: educate women and empower the world. Through scholarships, life skills training, and mentoring Pathways offers a rare opportunity for Togolese women and girls to pursue their personal goals and dreams.

During my two years in Togo I watched Pathways create positive change in the lives of Togolese women and girls across the nation. Now, even though I'm thousands of miles away, I want to continue to support this incredible program.
