Fundraising in honor of Detective Dave Walsh
Tax deductible
It’s that time of the year again when you might notice some of our officers looking a little scruffy. No, there is no shortage of razors. Once again we are participating in “No Shave November”, a month long fundraising campaign where officers make a donation and forgo shaving in order to raise money and awareness for cancer research. This year, all funds raised will be donated to Swim across America and will go directly to fund cancer research and patient programs. We decided to choose this organization at the request of Ken Walsh, the brother of Det. David Walsh, who tragically passed away from brain cancer in July of 2022. Ken began fundraising and swimming for this cause once his brother David was diagnosed. Dave always wanted to help every person he could. Raising money for cancer research and patient programs is just another way Dave’s legacy will continue to help the next person in need.
Please consider making a donation to this cause and help make a difference in the lives of those affected by all different types of cancer. We at the Irvington Police Department and Irvington PBA appreciate every donation of any amount. Thank you and stay safe.
