Pedro Melendez Cancer treatments

Hi, my name is Diana Segura and I’m fundraising for my brother Pedro Melendez.

Hello everyone,

This past year has been very difficult for my brother Pedro. Since our first message to you all, his cancer has progressed to stage 4 and we were recently told his chemotherapy was not successful. The chemotherapy damaged his lungs, kidneys, and the mass in his pelvis has grown so much that it is affecting his ability to stand, sit, or eat. At the moment, he is very weak and the doctors are only giving him medication to ease his cancer symptoms. They are saying there is not much more they can do and gave him a prognosis of 6 months to live.

Regardless, we are staying hopeful and we will continue to support my brother with this fight because this is what he wants. We are taking him to the UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center and we pray that he can receive the help he needs. To cover the hospital fees, such as treatments and medication, we are accepting donations. Any amount is appreciated.

Este año ha sido muy difícil para mi hermano Pedro. Desde nuestro primer mensaje a todos ustedes, su cáncer ha progresado a la etapa 4 y recientemente nos dijeron que su quimioterapia no fue exitosa. La quimioterapia dañó sus pulmones, riñones, y el tumor en su pelvis ha crecido tanto que está afectando su capacidad de pararse, sentarse, o comer. Por el momento, esta muy débil y los médicos sólo le están dando medicamentos para aliviar sus síntomas de cáncer. Los doctores nos dicen que ya no pueden ayudarlo y le dieron un pronóstico de 6 meses de vida.

Sin embargo, no perdemos la esperanza y seguiremos apoyando a mi hermano en esta lucha porque eso es lo que él quiere. Lo llevaremos al UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center y estamos rezando para que pueda recibir la ayuda que necesita.

Para cubrir los costos del hospital, como el tratamiento y los medicamentos, estamos aceptando donaciones. Se agradece cualquier cantidad que puedan donar.
