Peetie’s Cancer Treatment #TeamPeteDevine

Hi Everyone,

I am raising funds for my husband, the remarkable, beloved blues drummer, Pete Devine. He has been recently diagnosed with a rare cancer (anal squamous cell carcinoma) and is unable to play music. I am caring for him full-time as he is in considerable pain and physically and emotionally exhausted.

Although we don’t have a definitive time frame, the estimate is currently about 5-6 months before he will be back in the saddle and able to do his favorite thing-play music for everyone! He will be receiving chemotherapy and intensive radiation treatment beginning January 8th. Until then we are waiting for scan results and trying to stay positive and not worry too much (a challenge for sure).

I am sure plenty of you are familiar with the expenses involved with cancer treatment. We have picked up a plethora of prescriptions and OTC meds to ease his many discomforts. We have spent many hours, driven many miles and cried many tears and we have barely scratched the surface of what is to come.

Pete is such a sweetheart, spreading joy wherever he goes through music and cheerfulness. It is so hard to see him sick and in pain, but we are prepared to fight!!
