Peg Moffett's Grandaughter

Thank you for taking the time to read this. We are all so very sorry to hear of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Peg Moffett on May 23rd.
Many of you knew Peg Moffett as the beautiful, white-haired socialite of Educational Services in Saddleback Valley Unified School District. She always was game for a loving conversation; we even cut the top off of a tall desk so that everyone walking by could be greeted by and stop to get some joy from Peg. My own children called her the ladybug, because they thought she was so fancy and inviting. She even played Mrs. Klaus for one of the district holiday parties!! Peg could whip out shorthand like it was nobody's business; it was beautiful. Did you also know that Peg used to work as a stenographer for the federal government?! Peg is the last (and maybe only) person I know of who would actually take dictation and type it up. It was a true pleasure to work with her. We are all so saddened by her passing.
Those of you who knew Peg well know that her life was not always easy. She lost her husband early on in her children's lives and worked hard to make ends meet. Nonetheless, she did it all with grace and love, volunteering in Girl Scouts and helping other single moms in need. Peg leaves behind two daughters and three grandchildren. One of her gorgeous daughters, Kamronn, has been raising her equally beautiful daughter, Ryleigh with much support from Peg. Ryleigh was the light of Peg's world. She dedicated her retirement years to supporting and loving her. The two were inseparable best friends- Kam says they were peas in a pod:).
We have started this Go Fund Me page to help with funeral costs and the ongoing costs of raising a child alone. Kam and Ry have their own challenging road ahead of them now, and anything you are able to pitch in to help make the stress of life without parents/grandparents a little easier would be much appreciated. Ryleigh has Down Syndrome and is 8 years old this week. She will need continued support throughout her life. Kam would never ask for help, but I know that we can all pitch in to support her in honor of the life of Peg Moffett, our dear friend, who wanted nothing more than love and success for Kam and Ry!
