Help Peggy’s family with expenses

Jennie would just like to say how grateful she is for everyone’s support. She is absolutely heartbroken and while all your help won’t obviously bring her mother back, it has eased the burden and made it easier for her to be able to focus on what is really important. She can’t thank you enough to convey how much it really has meant to her and wants everyone to know how grateful she is that you all gave your time, support, and hard-earned money to help her get through this! You are so appreciated.
Update: Peggy passed away on the evening of Monday, April 15th. Her family could use support now more than ever to help with expense…
As many people may already know, on the evening of Wednesday, April 10th, Peggy Pooler was crossing the street at the intersection of Sabattus and College in Lewiston when she was struck by a full-sized SUV. Sadly, she is now in critical condition at Maine Medical Center on life support. She sustained many injuries, and if we are lucky enough that she survives, has a very long road to recovery ahead of her.
With her being in Portland and her family being in Lewiston, it has already caused a strain on them financially. Transportation, lodging, meals, and other necessities are expensive, and when the expenses are unexpected like this, it can be very difficult and put extra stress and strain on loved ones that take their attention away from what’s important.
Many, many people know Peggy. She has been a fixture in town for a while, and she has been friends to many during that time. She never had much, but was always more than happy to give whatever she could to anyone that was in need. She would give her last dollar to someone if they asked, when she likely needed it more than they did.
Now the time has come to give back to this lovely woman. The ask is small…just a little help with the overwhelming financial burden it requires to be at her side supporting her during this difficult fight. She would be the first one to want to help if it were anyone else that needed it. Now it’s time to show her the love and thanks we all have for her, and help shoulder a bit of the burden so that those that mean the most to her can be there to help get through this.
We understand times are hard, and that it is difficult to find justification to give when we are all struggling and could use a hand up ourselves. We certainly don’t want anyone to give what they cannot spare, but if anyone can spare anything at all, just know that it would be put to a good cause, and that it would go directly towards the fight Peggy is waging right now.
Thank you for reading this, and for any support you have to offer, no matter what form that may take.
