GGF : Peggy’s plea:HELP SAVE the GGF PLEASE

HELP! My reason for supporting The Gingersnap Girls Equine Education and Rescue Foundation is simple: BELIEF. I have seen from the front lines how hard my childhood friend works to keep her rescue going. Melea Ann Mercer and her husband Bob Payton started the GGF T/A almost 21 years ago. Mission Statement: The GGF is a nonprofit, 501c3, volunteer based, humane rescue organization whose mission is to aide in the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, abandoned, sick and slaughter bound equines and to promote humane practices for all animals. Unfortunately, Bob died and after his death, Ann has been able to continue with her blood, sweat ,tears and loyal supporters.
Board, feed, hay, blankets, Ferrier fees are minor expenses compared to the very high cost of MEDICINES and VET bills that afford these once abused animals a much deserved peace and comfort. The only thing that is free in maintaining these beautiful equines, is the HUGH amount of TLC their Mother gives them. Time marches on with aging and health issues taking their toll on my friend who can’t do all the physical things she once use to which causes her great frustration, but the financial burden is extremely taxing.
The Good Samaritan Program under the GGF T/A, is another wonderful program Ann raises much needed funds for. The Good Samaritan program provides much needed supplies to animals and their guardians who are in short term critical need. This is a benevolent VETERINARIAN REFERRED program.
How wonderful to help the equines stay in their homes and assist their guardians who love them as well!
I am a woman of modest means and I do what I can to support my friend who puts her heart and soul into the GGF T/A.
