PEI Community Fridge
Donation protected
The PEI Community Fridge is a mutual aid project aimed at facilitating access to safe and nutritious food for the community. It is a 24/7 autonomous and accessible outdoor space where people can take what they need and give what they can - no questions asked.
Everyone has their part to play and the foundation for the project is built on people supporting people. The purpose of the community fridge is to increase access to food, reduce food waste, and increase a sense of community involvement.
Our goal is to fundraise $15,000.00 to cover the cost of building materials, electricity, purchased foods, cleaning supplies, and miscellaneous items. Every donation helps!
With the generous contributions of community members and local groups on PEI, the fridge will be located at the Parkdale Sherwood Lions Club Bingo hall (46 Valley St, Charlottetown, PE C1A 4J1).
Thank you for reading and caring about this project!
