Pelc Family

A few weeks before Thanksgiving, my mother, family and I were given news that she has cancer. What started as breast cysts have now grown into stage 4 cancerous tumors in her breast, lymph node, 3 in her liver and small pinpoints in some bones. The chemo will be a very strong dosage every 3 weeks through a port in her chest that will begin Friday, December 18th. Her last day of work is Tuesday the 15th. The goal is to shrink all of the tumors as much as possible for the next few months, and then she will have surgery to remove the larger one in her breast, and go from there. We aren’t sure what the cancer in her liver and bones will bring, but we are hoping the chemo will kill them off as much as possible. Radiation is also in the future process.
We started receiving medical bills today, already racking up a few thousand dollars, just from all of the consults, scans and procedures in just this past month. We have yet to receive future bills for the chemotherapy, surgery and much more. We are having some (hopefully temporary) issues with insurance and are unsure of how much they will be covering, if at all. 
My mother and I live together alone, and even with the amazing support of close family including my father, grandparents and brother, we are increasingly growing unsure of how we’ll scrape all of this together, on top of our monthly rent and other normal living expenses (Not to mention this perfect timing of being the holidays).
I can assure you any and ALL money donated here will be strictly towards my mothers medical bills and treatments, to get her all of the help she needs possible to beat this. I fear if we have this extreme financial stress on top of her condition it could make her worse. 
I will need to be working full time through all of this process, in addition to a new job as well. 
Please stay safe during these times and remember to be wearing a mask, keeping people like my mother safe from covid while her immune system weakens. This is a scary time for this all to be happening, but like I said before, these things have perfect timing. 
All love and kindness is always appreciated. Those who know my mom personally, know she is always lending a hand to those around her, and in my eyes, she’s the one who deserves a helping hand now more than ever. She is my whole world, my everything. She deserves to beat this.
