Peludo Amor Ayuda

¡Hola amantes de los animales del mundo!

Como saben, mi país, Venezuela, está atravesando una crisis política, social y económica tremenda, que hace que la calidad de vida de sus habitantes se deteriore cada día un poco más.
No hay comida suficiente para todos, la que hay es inaccesible para la mayoría debido a sus costos, no se consiguen los medicamentos más básicos y la gente muere de enfermedades perfectamente tratables.

Esta tragedia humanitaria afecta también (e importantemente) al último escalón de las prioridades dentro de una sociedad al borde del colapso: sus animales.

Muchas de las que antes fueron mascotas amadas, deambulan en las calles frente a una suerte incierta porque sus papás humanos han emigrado y en sus planes no pudieron incluirlos a ellos.
La gente que antes no dudaba en compartir su pan con un animalito, hoy no tiene pan que compartir.
Perros y gatos deben competir con humanos por las sobras de la basura.
Los pocos refugios o fundaciones que a duras penas existen no reciben ninguna ayuda del Estado y se valen de donaciones privadas para poder sostener sus manadas de rescataditos, pero la comida (cuando se consigue), cuesta más que la última vez. Hay refugios que reparten diariamente lo poco que tienen entre los muchos que son y dolorosamente les toca presenciar como se van apagando las vidas por las que tanto han luchado, imposibilitados de hacer más.

SOBRE MI.

Mi vida entera la he dedicado a luchar por las otras especies con las que compartimos planeta, y hoy el llamado que siento de ayudar es aún más intenso.

Todos mis proyectos laborales los he asociado a causas animalistas, apoyando con mi voz, mi imagen, mi tiempo y mis recursos diferentes campañas (en pro de la adopción, en contra de la satanización de las razas poderosas, etc). 
Soy rescatista independiente y he sido hogar temporal de la mayoría de mis rescatados. Salí del país en plena crisis de desabastecimiento, y entiendo en primera persona la desesperación que se siente cuando no consigues el alimento para tu rescatado o cuando el presupuesto con el que cuentas no te permite comprar la cantidad que necesitas para cubrir sus necesidades.

De mi libro Peludo Amor, doné el 50% de las regalías que recibí, pero eso apenas ayudó a alimentar a 250 perros de dos refugios durante 10 días en el año 2016.
Todavía algo dentro de mí se rompe cuando me pregunto qué comieron todos esos peludos el día once, el día catorce... ¿qué están comiendo esta noche?

Si la vida me permitió trabajar en los medios de comunicación y convertirme en una embajadora de los animales tiene que ser por algo.
Si la vida me obligó a salir de mi país también tiene que ser por algo. 
Así que aquí estoy, pidiéndoles ayuda, rogándoles que me acompañen en esta labor de salvar peluditos.

Todo cuanto aquí se recauda está siendo destinado a la compra de comida para perros y gatos (ya dejamos atrás la intención inicial con la que comencé la campaña, de comprar otro tipo de productos - como champus y pipetas anti pulgas y anti garrapaticidas - siendo que la emergencia alimentaria sobrepasa intensamente todo lo demás. El dinero se ha invertido íntegro en la compra de alimento y en un único envío internacional de insumos donados desde la ciudad de Miami - que a pesar que nos dieron un precio muy especial para el barco y puesta en aduana, representó un dinero que no pudo ser utilizado para más comida, así que ahora compramos directamente a proveedores que ya tienen el alimento en Venezuela - al cambio del dólar del día - y costos mínimos de operatividad, como camiones o camionetas cerradas de gran capacidad para trasladar el alimento sin que sea notado por personas que intenten retenerlo y saquearlo además de personal de carga y descarga. 

La "Asociación Civil Sin Fines de Lucro Voluntarios Por Los Animales" ha sido mi link con los refugios, proteccionistas independientes organzados y fundaciones de la capital. He trabajado con ellos durante los últimos 19 años y mi confianza en su proceder es absoluta. Absolutamente todos los sacos de alimento se han entregado como donativo (sin ningún costo) y bajo la supervisión necesaria para que los destinatarios finales sean los peludos en necesidad.
El proceso está siendo ducumentado en mis redes sociales, tanto Instagram como Facebook. Pueden revisar la etiqueta #PeludoAmorEntrega para ver videos y leer los casos de los refugios a los que se ha podido beneficiar. 

Si estás dentro de Venezuela o si emigraste a cualquier parte del mundo y quieres hacer algo por los monstricos en situación de abandono, esta es tu oportunidad.

Hello world animal lovers!

As you know, my country Venezuela, is undergoing a tremendous political, social and economic crisis, which makes the quality of life of its inhabitants deteriorate every day a little more.
There is not enough food for everyone, the one that is inaccessible to most because of its costs, the most basic medicines are not obtained and people die of perfectly treatable diseases.

This humanitarian tragedy also affects (and importantly) the last step of the priorities within a society on the verge of collapse: its animals.

Many of those who were once beloved pets roam the streets in the face of uncertain fate because their human parents have emigrated and in their plans they could not include them.
People who previously did not hesitate to share their bread with a little animal, today has no bread to share.
Dogs and cats must compete with humans for leftovers.
The few shelters or foundations that barely exist receive no state aid and use private donations to support their rescue flocks, but food (when it is available) costs more than the last time. There are shelters that distribute daily what little they have among the many who are and painfully it is their turn to witness how the lives for which they have fought so hard, unable to do more, fade away.

ABOUT ME.

My whole life I have dedicated to fighting for the other species with which we share planet, and today the call I feel to help is even more intense.

All my work projects I have associated with animalistic causes, supporting with my voice, my image, my time and my resources different campaigns (for adoption, against the demonization of powerful races, etc.).
I am an independent rescuer and have been the temporary home of most of my rescued children. I left the country in the midst of a crisis of shortages, and I understand in the first person the desperation that you feel when you do not get the food for your rescued or when the budget with which you account does not allow you to buy the amount you need to meet their needs.

From my book Peludo Amor I donated 50% of the royalties I received, but that barely helped feed 250 dogs from two shelters for 10 days in 2016.
Still something inside me breaks when I wonder what all those furry people ate on the eleventh day, the fourteenth day ... what are they eating tonight?

If life allowed me to work in the media and becoming an ambassador for animals has to be for something.
If life forced me to leave my country it also has to be for something.
So here I am, asking them for help, begging them to accompany me in this work of saving peluditos.

Everything that is collected here is being used for the purchase of food for dogs and cats (we already left behind the initial intention with which I started the campaign, to buy other types of products - such as anti-flea and anti-tickpatians shampoos and pipettes - the food emergency surpasses everything else.The money has been invested whole in the purchase of food and in a single international shipment of inputs donated from the city of Miami - that although we were given a very special price for the boat and sunset in customs, represented money that could not be used for more food, so now we buy directly from suppliers who already have food in Venezuela - at the dollar exchange rate of the day - and minimum operating costs, such as trucks or large closed vans capacity to move the food without being noticed by people trying to retain it and looting it besides loading and unloading personnel.

The "Non-profit Civil Association “Voluntarios por los Animales” has been my link with the shelters, independent protection organizations and foundations of the capital. I have worked with them for the last 19 years and my confidence in their behavior is absolute. Absolutely all food bags have been delivered as a donation (without any cost) and under the supervision necessary for the final recipients to be the peluditos in need.
