Pemba Tashi Sherpa Memorial Fund
Hello, my name is Steve Stevens and I am fundraising for Pemba Tashi Sherpa's wife and 3 children in Nepal.
Many of you know that I Summited Everest on May 12th of 2021 and Pemba was an integral part of my success. Pemba was unbelieveably strong and had a personality that everyone fell in love with. Tragically just 6 days after our successful summit Pemba was back up on the mountain carrying supplies for other climbers and fell into a crevasse and passed away. He was only 28 years old, and leaves behind his wife and 3 children; Lhakpa Kippa Sherpa, daughters Nyima Yangi (5), Lhakpa Khandu (2), and son Pasang Dawa (3).
Pemba was my guide for the acclimatization climb of Lobuche and on summit day when my Everest guide was not feeling well, Pemba stepped in and led me from Camp 4 to the Summit. All funds raised will be sent to his family for living expenses and the children educations. I have a close contact in Nepal that is a relative to the family so I know the funds will get to where they are needed. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated!!!
