Penny dog needs our help

Penny swallowed a fishing hook on 8/17/22 on the kickapoo river. She was with her family, one of whom is an avid (albeit young) fisherman. This family member, Leo (5years old), recently had learned that you could bait fish with hotdogs. He used a leftover lil smoky to bait his hook and left it in the canoe unattended. Before we knew it, Penny had swallowed the whole thing and it was irretrievable.

Many of you have met Penny at some point or another. As someone who has known and loved her since 2010, I can tell you that the first thing that made me fall in love with her was her attitude. She would do handstands while marking territory, growl under her breath as other dogs got to go on walks across the street, and would lose her ish at flashing lights (possible ptsd from an alien abduction? We were never sure).

She’s lived somewhere around 14 years on this planet, and has loved and snuggled many of you. She’s a loving pup in need of your love and support. If Penny has ever touched your heart, whether it be from her foot-sitting, to her little jerky tongue sitting outside of her mouth, we graciously ask on her behalf to have any amount of donation. No amount is too little.
