Donation protected

Penny Ann Loukes, 69 years old of Superior, WI, passed away peacefully in her home on June 7, 2024 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota by parents Marlene and Frank. She is survived by her husband, Roger Loukes, her children, Anthony (Autumn), Rochelle, Nicole (Andrew), Tricia (Bill), and Desirae. She is also survived by her brother Frank (Terry), and her sisters Dawn and Vicky. She is also survived by many grandchildren (Renee, Ambrielle, Lyman Jr., Kaleah, Levi, Annabelle, Jayden, and “Penny Rose” to come) and many loved nieces and nephews. Penny is preceded in death by her parents, Marlene and Frank, her brother, Michael, and her grandsons, Logan and Austin.

Penny is and was a devoted wife to Roger Loukes of many years, and an amazing out-of-this-world mother to Anthony Mazzitello, Rochelle Schiff, Nicole Watson, Tricia Princl, and Desirae Loukes, among many other children she took under her wing over the years. Many call her mom and are honored to do so.

Penny worked in the retail field at Kwik Trip and K-Mart for some years. She also was a foster mother to many children. She was a home-maker and caregiver for her family. Her children were her pride and joy in which she loved them all more than anything else in this life. Penny was an avid gardener and could plant any flowers in any condition and make them bloom and grow beautifully. She would spend hours upon hours working in her gardens. Besides her love of gardening, she also enjoyed remodeling, building, and fixing things in the house and doing projects and putting on her ‘Macgyver Hat’. She enjoyed playing games, especially word games, with her friends and family. She especially had a love for cribbage and winning many matches. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family as often as she could. She loved barbecues in the backyard, enjoying the sunshine and a nice cold beer or glass of white zin. Penny also had a love for all dogs, especially the ones she called her own: Rosie, Shadow, Bandit, Tipsy, and Mooby.

Penny is greatly loved and honored and will continue to live on in the hearts of those who love her and know her. 1 Corinthians 13:7-9 “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
