Help our Pennypacker Clothes Closet

Donation protected
We are the staff,  students and family of the Samuel Pennypacker Elementary school of the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.

We have a community of around 500 students ranging from Head Start age (3) to Sixth Grade(going to 7th in 2017 and 8th in 2018)  We have 2 Life Skills classes, an Autistic Support class and an Emotional Support class.

Our area is in one of the more impoverished areas of Philadelphia. We also have one of the highest rates of foster children in the city.

Sometimes issues happen where students and families cannot afford clothes for their children.   Not just uniforms but coats, hats, gloves and boots.  Most of these children also come to school without the tools to learn: Paper, pencils, bookbags, etc...

This Gofundme is being run to help raise money to get clothes and supplies for the children to keep and use.

It is impossible to get an education when you are worrying about your next meal, if you have clothes to wear and if you have nothing to write with in class.  Our children are provided 2 meals a day by the district but clothing is not supplied and resources are so stretched that their are not enough supplies to go around.

Please help donate to this cause to help our school. Any amount will help. Some of our family and friends have donated clothing and supplies in the past but we still need more.

We thank you for your help!
