Pennys Diner Employee Covid-19

Gordon and I are doing everything possible to try and help our employees and our community during this horrible pandemic. We established this gofundme page so that people could help with our mission and donate easily. We are so blessed to have amazing customers and friends who believe in what we are doing. There have been so many of you who have already donated with your time, your money and also with food. With the help of Boars head meats and some staff volunteers we have been able to feed dozens of workers each week. So far we have made rounds to the fire houses in both Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte. We are feeding police officers, nurses from local nursing homes, employees of city hall and the charlotte county jail. We stood at the Jones Loop exit and fed the truckers on 3 separate occasions. One of my favorite days was when we just drove up and down the streets of Punta Gorda Isles and stopped randomly to give lunches to construction workers, lawn care workers, pest control employees and even UPS drivers. (It was just a day of surprising the community)We had so much fun. Most recently we went out and fed the homeless. They were so grateful and so appreciative. I realized how truly blessed I am no matter how difficult life is right now. 
All of the funds that are donated through this account will be going towards our mission. We will continue feeding our hard working community until it is no longer possible. We will also be splitting the funds between our staff. Many of them are struggling and all of the donations are greatly appreciated. Gordon and I will not be taking any of it. If you find it in your heart to donate, I just want you to know that every dime is going to a great cause.
