Penny's lifesaving surgery!

Our 2 1/2-year-old Dashhound fur baby, Penny, has injured herself and requires major surgery. Penny had jumped up on the front door and fell on her back, causing a disc to push into her spinal cord, leaving her nearly paralyzed.
After spending hundreds of dollars going to the Loomis Basin veterinary clinic for 3 days in a row, it was determined that she needed surgery immediately or she would be left paralyzed for life. She was rushed down to Pacific Veterinary Specialty hospital in Lafayette, CA late last night for an MRI and went into surgery this afternoon. The cost of the surgery is going to be between $13,000 - $16,000 to give her a normal life. My parents are helping with a great deal of the cost, but I can't expect them to pay for it all so we are reaching out for help!
