Violin upkeep for Steve Gates

I am Ian Gates, the brother of classical violinist, Stephen Gates.   Stephen is an incredible musician as well as next to homeless due to some personal circumstance which involved a horrendous car accident.   His story can be found here...  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOBEW9CkPqw 
 The heartwarming recent media attention surrounding Steve's very special busker relationship with the city of Halifax has been amazing!  Our family was very touched by the candid photo of Officer Currie and Steve as they chatted last week.  Steve supports himself by playing classical violin for the city on Spring Garden Row, even giving free violin lessons.  

As Steve's family we are increasingly concerned about the deteriorating condition of his violin.  With any donations we plan to set up an account with a trusted luthier to assist with any repairs or for Steven to get a new violin and bow if he so chooses.  As can be expected, he needs more than just help with his violin. Funds will also be used to maintain his health and well being. Please join us in partnership so that Steve may be able to continue playing beautiful music for the wonderful city of Halifax.
