Pep Cancer Free for 2022

We all know and love Pep and The Soul Explosion, a group of performers who have brought smiles and pleasure to many an audience. Heralded by Gary "Pep" Stanton, this band has been a mainstay at multiple venues throughout the years.

Pep recently entered a battle for his health when he discovered that he has multiple myeloma - a form of cancer, while incurable, IS CONTROLLABLE. However, it will be a constant fight and push for our beloved brother to get himself back right.

Pep's journey into entertainment began when he got the bug when singing in a 4th-grade talent show in middle school in 1970. This 52-year entertaining voyage placed Pep as "Daddy Rawe" in the hip hop group "Son of Bazerk" from the mid-'80s to early '90s.

Pep's journey would have him perform in different venues across the planet, open many a concert, headlining cruises, and be one of our favorite vocalists. With your help, he can continue to be one of your favorite vocalists and keep bringing that joy in a way that only he can.

In battling for his health, Pep will face dire financial strain. As his mainstay has been entertaining, being unable to do so at the moment means precious saved funds only go out, and nothing comes in.

While most of his medical needs are funded by insurance, some services need covering, and there are still the basic needs of survival - putting food on the table, getting to and from the doctor, keeping a roof overhead, keeping the lights on...I think you understand.

For this reason, we have established this fund to help our beloved Gary "Pep the Entertainer" Stanton stay afloat while navigating the shores of this ongoing cancer battle.

The current goal will change as we know his battle may wage on for a couple of years while rebuilding his immune system and strength after dealing with the expected debilitating treatments.

We hope the family can come together to help provide relief for a brother who has given us so much over the years and add the prayers that he'll be doing it again before we know it!
