Percy L Julian PEACE GARDEN (Kim Saunders)

Hello My Name is Ottawa Randolph & I am a former student of Percy L Julian on Chicago’s SouthSide. Every Year My former teacher Ms. Kim Saunders plants a garden at Our High School on a 103rd and Vincennes to honor the lives of children that have lost their lives to gun violence. When I found out she reached into her own pockets to create such a beautiful way to honor those lost I had to step in and help. I want to be able to continue to provide for this amazing project… This Garden represents NEW LIFE, in the seeds planted, LOVE and a place for those to remember. Kim Saunders takes the students out yearly to prep and plant. This skill also teaches the students about gardening. Please help Ms. Saunders and the students with gardening tools, gardening soil, seeds and watering pots etc. I would like to raise as much as we can to provide enough items for ALL the students to have a hand in the process & feel proud of their planted seeds as they grow. Kim Saunders is one of the few TEACHERS that have made a difference in so many of our lives in our community. She is a true seed that has flowers all over the City of Chicago.
