Percy the Cat's Pilgrimage to the Emergency Vet
Donation protected
Hello cats and kittens,
It is I, Percy Cat, aka Puss in Boots, aka Percival Morris, aka Chess, writing to you on behalf of my humans.
You see, I have the best humans. The Cat Lady and The Cat Man fell in love with my picture from the Humane Society, and that's how they ended up with such a strapping, not-so-young tom cat such as myself. The Cat Lady has been enamored with me since we first met, and The Cat Man agrees that I'm a pretty cool cat.
Unfortunately, this week the Cat Man noticed I was not acting like my usual raucous self. You see, I love to cause mischief, starting with waking up The Cat Man at 5 am for my breakfast, and when I didn't wake him up he was concerned.
It was realized that my health plight was a lot more serious than what my humans realized. They took me to the pet hospital where it was discovered that I had a urinary tract obstruction, which if not treated can be fatal.
The Cat Lady knew immediately that action had to be taken, and The Cat Man agreed. I had to stay overnight in the pet hospital with some nice doctors and nurses who took good care of me, but the bill was 30x my adoption fee!
I, Percy the Cat, am on my way to the road of recovery, however this bill was substantially more than what my humans anticipated. I am here doing my best Puss in Boots impersonation asking if you would be willing to help out. Any amount makes a difference!
Anything beyond the fundraising goal will be donated back to Prairie's Edge Humane Society in Northfield, MN, which is where I was adopted.
Thanks to the help of the emergency vet, I will be around for many more 5 am human wake ups, demanding my kibble.
Thank you so kindly! I, along with my humans are eternally grateful for your generosity!
Cordially,
Percival Morris aka Puss in Boots Thompson
